Users must follow the rules at all times or they risk a potential punishment to their account.
All punishments are handled on a case-by-case basis. Breaking a specific rule may not always result in the same punishment every time. When investigating situations, context is the most important factor.
Below lists the terms, updated as of June 23, 2021.
1. Don't be too mean.
2. Don't share personal things about people.
3. Don't spam chat.
4. Don't be annoying.
5. Don't share illegal or scammy content.
6. Don't advertise yourself unless it's relevant.
7. Don't threaten anyone.
8. Don't cheat or use alternate accounts.
9. You must be 13.
10. Don't build bunkers, skybases, or bridges across the ocean.
§ A. Chat
§ A1. Users are protected by free speech and may give their positive or negative opinions on users, so long as that opinion is not discrimination or repeated harassment.
§ A2. Users may not share personal details of other users; including names, locations, emails, phone numbers, or any other information that may be considered personal, even if it is fake!
§ A3. Users may not send repeated messages of the same (or similar) text, flood chat with meaningless text, use alternate fonts, or excessively capitalize their messages.
§ A4. Users may not be annoying or a nuisance to the chat.
§ B. Content
§ B1. Users may not send illegal content.
§ B2. Users should not link to unreputable, illegal, or sources that may phish other users.
§ B3. Users' town names must be accurate to its geographical location. Users can use country names, city names, or past historical cities/empire names.
§ B4. Users' builds should be not appear intentionally griefed or look like anarchy. Underground bases are not allowed. Users ARE allowed to build underground as long as it is not their entire base-- basements, mob grinders, farms etc are permitted. Skybases are not allowed. Bridges across the oceans are not allowed.
§ B5. Users may create builds that were sensitive topics in history, as long as the build does not promote hateful or discriminatory ideologies and is used for research, education, or historical purposes. Examples may include concentration camps, torture chambers, etc.
§ B6. Users may not impersonate other users/towns/nations. A nation tag may not be the same as another nation's tag.
§ C. Promotion & Advertising
§ C1. Users may promote their own content, such as websites, channels, videos, or live streams, as long as it is relavent to the conversation or server and not random advertisement.
§ C2. Users must bear in mind § B2 when promoting content.
§ D. Use of Service
§ D1. Users must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to use any of Rune's services.
§ D2. Users may not make any kind of threat against the service.
§ D3. Users may not use modifications that give a competitive advantage or cause server nuisance; these include spam bots, hacked clients, XRay, macros or scripts, minimaps, or any other modification similar. Acceptable client modifications include OptiFine and Shaders.
§ D4. Users may not abuse glitches, bugs, or exploits. Users should use their best discretion to determine if their actions were intentionally designed by the developers or are a fault/mistake in implementation.
§ D5. Users may not use alternate accounts. Only use a single account.
§ D6. Users may not "grief" directly outside of claimed towns. This includes block spamming, setting fires, etc. Users may take loot from abandoned towns.
